Up And Coming Classes
Getting Ready for Your Classes
To set yourself and your dog for your first class, here’s everything you need to know before attending class:
What to Bring:
Your dog on a fixed-length lead, harness, and collar
Long training lead (if you have one) for practicing recall and other skills
A treat or dog walking bag to keep all your treats easy to access
Lots of treats (we suggest a variety to keep your dog excited and focused)
A favorite toy for training games and breaks
A towel for cleaning your dog if it gets wet or muddy
Weather-appropriate clothing for yourself (we’ll be outside, so make sure to dress warmly and bring a waterproof coat if needed!)
Preparing Your Dog for Class
To help your dog succeed in class, a little preparation at home goes a long way:
Feed them lightly before class. A full tummy can make training harder (and treats less exciting!).
Practice basic skills like "sit" or name recognition beforehand to get them focused.
Give them exercise before class, but not too much. We want them to be calm but still ready to learn!
Class Location & Arrival
Our classes are held at our indoor training Hub at Swithens Farm, Swithens Lane, Rothwell, Ls26 8HJ.
Please park in the main car park and the entrance to the training hub is right next to the main car park
